Botox and Dysport:
Botox and dysport are both cosmetic injectables that contain botulinum toxin type A. These treatments are primarily used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, providing a more youthful and rejuvenated look. Here are some key points to understand:

-
How it works: Botox and Dysport work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for forming wrinkles. This relaxation smoothens the skin's surface and diminishes the appearance of lines caused by facial expressions.
-
Treatment areas: These injectables are commonly used to target dynamic wrinkles, such as crow's feet, forehead lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows. They can also be used for other purposes, such as reducing excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) or relieving migraines.
-
Procedure: During the treatment, a qualified medical professional will administer the injectable into specific muscle groups using a fine needle. The procedure is quick, usually taking only a few minutes, and requires no downtime.
-
Results and Duration: Results typically become noticeable within a few days after treatment, with optimal results appearing in about one to two weeks. The effects of Botox and Dysport usually last for three to six months, after which follow-up treatments are recommended to maintain the desired look.

Once the microneedles penetrate the skin, they emit heat from radiofrequency waves that penetrate deeper skin layers, resulting in a tightening of the underlying fat and skin.
